Building update

It’s so exciting for me to watch our cottage take shape. We are blessed to have a good friend managing our  build and his guys are so skilled. The original half built building was very strangely built and it turns out that nothing is square or straight. These guys have taken a crooked shack and are turning it into a lovely little home for Bob’s parents.  Another creative friend has designed the kitchen for us. I am green with envy as it’s really stunning. Thank you Alf and Colleen.

The building site as also been quite an eventful place to be especially on Friday when a huge sand truck almost dissappeared into out septic tank!  Luckily it’s just the french drain side and we were able  to haul the truck out using another truck and a strong chain.

Yuck!  Something else to fix in the new year. We have put on a temporary cover in the meantime.  All of course happening right before everyone shuts down for year end and during a heatwave. Our temps are averaging around 38 to 43 deg C and humidity is very high.
